Hahn Air attends the 7th World Passenger Symposium in Barcelona
Two of Hahn Air’s experts on innovation, Jörg Troester, Head of Corporate Strategy, Industry and Government Affairs, and Christopher Allison, Director, NDC, have recently attended IATA’s 7th World Passenger Symposium held in Barcelona, Spain, from October 24 to 26. Drawing more than 700 participants from the global travel industry, the three-day event examined ongoing transformational initiatives shaping the future of the industry.
In the spirit of its signature theme “Innovating better, together!”, this year’s sessions addressed ways that could help to improve distribution and customer experience as well as on-the-ground and in-the-air operations, IT and technology. Dubbed IATA Innovation day, the last day was fully dedicated to the topic of industry innovation.
Jörg Troester commented after the event: “The airline industry shows us again how innovative and customer focused airlines are. We all are constantly exploiting new opportunities for a seamless, faster and more enjoyable customer experience.” Christopher Allison added: “At the same time, airlines must respond to disrupters, especially in the field of distribution. I am confident, however, that new standards, such as NDC, will help create opportunity from these challenges.”
