Azerbaijan Airlines available on HR-169 now

Azerbaijan Airlines (J2), Azerbaijan’s flag carrier based in Baku (GYD), is available for HR-169 ticketing once again. You now can book AZAL and Buta Airways’ services to destinations in Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia as well as in other countries in Europe, Asia, America and Africa, including: 

  • Baku (GYD) – Dubai (DXB) v.v.      
  • Baku (GYD) – Istanbul (IST) v.v.
  • Baku (GYD) – London Heathrow (LHR) v.v. 
  • Baku (GYD) – Tbilisi (TBS) v.v.  


Avianca announces Bogota – Toronto service

Starting from December 3rd, Avianca (AV) will connect Bogota (BOG) and Toronto (YYZ) with three weekly flights operated on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The flag carrier of Colombia will use its A320 fitted with 150 seats to perform flights from its hub to the capital city of the Canadian province of Ontario.  


Cemair launches Johannesburg – Luanda flights

The South African airline CemAir (5Z) expanded its route network with twice-weekly flights (operated on Mondays and Wednesdays) between Johannesburg (JNB), South Africa, and Luanda (LAD), Angola.  


Copa Airlines returns to San Francisco

The flag carrier of Panama, Copa Airlines (CM), resumed operations to San Francisco (SFO) with five weekly flights from its hub at Tocumen International Airport (PTY). More frequencies will be added from November 1st.


Emirates announces its return to London Gatwick

The Dubai-based airline Emirates (EK) will restart services to London (LGW) on December 10th. The flight EK015 operated by the airline’s B777 aircraft will depart Dubai International Airport (DXB) at 07:40 and arrive in London Gatwick (LGW) at 11:40. The flight EK016 will depart London at 13:35 and arrive in Dubai at 00:40 the following day (all times are local).  


Etihad Airways introduces new flights to South Africa and beyond

The flag carrier of the United Arab Emirates, Etihad Airways (EY), introduced two new flights from its hub in Abu Dhabi (AUH) to South Africa and Zanzibar. Starting from November 25th, travelers can take advantage of its thrice-weekly services to Johannesburg (JNB) and Cape Town (CPT), and v.v. Available on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, the flights will be operated with the airline’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.

Etihad Airways also plans to enhance its destination list with Zanzibar (ZNZ) on November 26th. The flight, convenient for winter getaways, will also offer easy connectivity for guests travelling from Europe and North America and transiting through Abu Dhabi (AUH). The scheduled flight will operate on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays on the airline’s Airbus A320 aircraft.      


FlySafair to serve Mauritius from December

Hahn Air’s South African Dual Partner FlySafair, available in GDSs under its own FA code as well as under Hahn Air’s H1 code, will launch flights to/from Mauritius (MRU) on December 11th. The service from Johannesburg (JNB) will be available on Tuesdays and Saturdays.  


Sunwing Airlines will resume flights to Liberia in Costa Rica

This November, the Canadian carrier Sunwing Airlines (WG) will return to Costa Rica. Its flights from Montreal (YUL) and Toronto (YYZ) to Liberia (LIR) and v.v. will operate weekly starting from November 8th.   TAR Aerolineas adds 11 domesic routes to its network Hahn Air’s Mexican partner TAR Aerolineas, available in GDSs under the X1 code, added the following eleven domestic routes to its network:   

  • Culiacán (CUL) – Monterrey (MTY) v.v. 
  • Culiacán (CUL) – La Paz (LAP) v.v.     
  • Culiacán (CUL) – Puerto Vallarta (PVR) v.v.    
  • Chihuahua (CUU) – Puerto Vallarta (PVR) v.v.
