Eurostar is a high-speed railway service connecting London with Avignon, Brussels, Lille, Lyon, Marseille and Paris. It is the only high speed train that directly links the UK to France and Belgium via the Channel Tunnel.
Eurostar trains can reach a maximum speed of 300km per hour (186 miles per hour) on high speed lines.
At European Rail Congress Awards and Travel Awards in 2014 Eurostar was named European Cross Border Operator of the Year and won the Best Rail Tour Operator award (respectively).
