Hahn Air’s Jörg Troester, Head of Corporate Strategy, Industry and Government Affairs recently attended the Technology and Innovation in Airline Distribution conference at the Avani Riverside Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.
The three-day event which took place between the 22nd and 24th of May 2018 saw over 150 senior executives address the key challenges they face in airline distribution. Among the highlights of the event was a panel discussion entitled “Payments in the New World”. Here, Troester participated as a panellist and shared his views on China and payments, how to control costs associated with payments and ways to leverage payment data.
Troester reminded audience members “Technology is only one important factor when talking about the future development of customer-oriented forms of payment. The cultural and regulatory perspective cannot be neglected and is essential if an airline wants to create professional direct and indirect distribution channels worldwide.”
