How do travel agents insert the passenger’s name when creating a booking?

The passenger’s first name and last name must be identical to those shown in the passenger’s passport.

For some airlines, the name length cannot exceed a certain number of characters, including spaces and titles. The number of characters permitted varies from airline to airline. Reservations that exceed the permitted number of characters can be automatically cancelled by the operating carrier or can simply not be transferred to the operating carrier for technical reasons.
